T 103 LEARNER DIVERSITY
Learner Diversity (LD) cuts across various levels and groups. It presents a vast space for creativity and initiative from which transformative change in learning transpires, making the classroom a sphere of diversity. An indispensable knowledge source, participants are expected to secure and convey a clear understanding of learner diversity against the backdrop of the evolving social milieu. In a climate of pluralism, participants are duty-bound to take serious efforts to recognise the factors and attributes that account for the differences and variation among learners. On the outset, this newly-gained understanding refines their professional repertoire, thus improving the learning climate and interest of learners in a diverse class. This programme prepares participants to become more aware of the need to reflect, develop and apply new skills in doing reflective practice in the classroom so as to prepare future leaders towards becoming effective leaders and Master Trainers in LD.
At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:
• Promote reflective practices in LD;
• Conduct training sessions that promotes LD; and
• Lead research in LD.
